Content Block Versions

Like web pages, Content Blocks can have multiple versions saved. Only one version can be viewed on the web page at a time. The different versions of a Content Block can be activated and deactivated, by accessing the versions menu for the block you are working with.

To save and access multiple versions of a Content Block:

• When you make your changes to the Content Block click on the Save New Version button in the Edit Content window toolbar. This will NOT publish the changes you have just made.

• Place your pointer over the Content Block header in the Editable Area window to bring up the menu.

• Click on the Versions button to open the versions menu.

• This will open the Content Block versions menu:

From this window you will be able to:

• Display

Clicking on this button will show the content in the Content Block below the menu.

• StartingDate/Time to Publish

This will open the Timed Publishing window.

• Start Date To Publish

This is where you will set the date you want the Content Box to publish.

• Click on the Calendar icon to the right of the text box

• A calendar will pop up in a window. Click on the date that you want the Content Block to publish.

• The calendar will close, and the text box will display the date you have selected.

• Start Time To Publish

This is where you will set the time of day that you want the Content Block to go live on the page. To set the time:

• Click in the first box and enter the hour you want the Content Block to publish

• Next, click in the first box and enter the minute you want the Content Block to publish

• Finally, click in the last box and enter AM or PM

• In this example, the Content Block will publish at 8:30 AM

• Click on the Change/Start Publish Times button when you are finished to apply the settings.

• Publish

This button makes the Content Block active on the web page by replacing the Content Block that is currently active on the page. The Currently Published column should reflect the change made, by showing the new version of the Content Block as being active.

• Edit

This button opens the Edit Content window and allows you to make changes to the content in the Content Block.

• Delete

Clicking this will permanently delete the Content Block from the web site.
